Novolawyer is an innovative new online legal directory that showcases lawyers from around the world.
Launched in July 2012 with the aim of disrupting the traditional model for legal directories, NovoLawyer provides a dynamic platform for lawyers in private practice to position themselves effectively to potential clients, referral partners and the wider market.
We spent some time speaking with lawyers across various markets (as well as commercial buyers of legal services) to really understand how they market and position themselves. We used this insight to inform our design decisions throughout the project. It was clear that the existing directories weren’t giving lawyers the flexibility they were looking for, but also they were often difficult to use, outdated and not representitative of the 21st century international legal sector.
We developed a simple & elegant interface for both finding lawyers and managing profiles. We kept the initial search decision simple with the ability to easily refine your options, creating a hassle-free user experience.

It’s early days for the product but the initial response has been very promising. We look forward to developing the product further over the coming months.
